Capt. James Davis was one of the early settlers of Virginia, arriving at Jamestown in Oct. of 1609 aboard the ship Virginia

Capt. Davis and at least two brothers came to America. They were sons of Sir Thomas Davis. Considerable biographical data is available on James and other family members at a website titled “Who We Are”. That material is well documented and cites numerous sources. Sir Thomas, the father, came to America in 1619 aboard the ship Margaret and settled in Jamestown.
