Thousands of Pages of Genealogy on One CD

Aug 31, 2009 Rosemary E. Bachelor

The collected works of David Dobson, specialist on Scottish Immigration to North America, are now available on one compact disc.

The scope of this amazing collection covers thousands of Scottish immigrants to North America in the 1600s-1800s. It is the result of decades of research on both sides of the Atlantic, and the print editions of these books collectively represent thousands of pages of data that originally sold for upwards of $300.

Genealogist David Dobson

David Dobson is recognized by professional genealogists as the most eminent specialist in Scottish Immigration to North America. Dobson has combed original records and printed sources at record centers and archives in Great Britain, Canada and the United States to chronicle those Scottish citizens who left their native land to settle in North America over the course of three centuries.

Several hundred thousands of these Scots came to America, beginning with those who settled at Jamestown, Virginia in 1607. Dobson identifies the historical events which precipitated the waves of Scottish immigrants, providing a backdrop for the genealogical data he has accumulated on thousands of America’s Scottish settlers.
