» suelon_99 - Tanguay's Dictionnaire
Things to remember w Quebec info;
1)records are usually written day/month/yr-European style.
2)mostly Catholic style which means baptisms and burials NOT births and deaths. MAYBE the same but...
if, for example, you see... 12/3-13/3 1864 this means born March 12th/bapt the 13th. if you see 's' 15/3 1864... this means (probably) died and buried Mar 15th 1864. Rarely do you see separate dates for death/burial...at least in early days, they didn't waste time burying them, at least in MY family!
It is VERY nice that Tanguay is online now; I use it alot/I do print the pages though as it is easier to follow. Once you get going on it, it gets easier to understand even without knowing French. Hope this info helps;now, if they would only put Drouin and Jette online......
