Darlene, I love your idea for a family newsletter. Years ago, my husband used to send out a little newsletter to both of our families, just news about us and our kids. The copies that we saved are SUCH fun to look at now, years later!
You're right about the importance of keeping up with news that's going on now - soon enough it'll be family history in itself.
